OK, its a miracle that I am posting again and in such a short time span from my last post because I really am terrible at keeping up with things in the realm of blogging, journal writing, e-mail, etc so we will see how long I stay on this good streak. Since my last post I have been completely and utterly absorbed by the book series the Hunger Games. It has taken over my life no really. I read the first book last week, then insisted my mother read it, went out of town over the weekend where she went crazy and finished the entire series in two days, and am now half way through the third and last book. I wont spoil it for any one who is currently, or plans or reading the series but its really awesome, like Twilight Harry Potter noteworthy awesome, and to be completely honest I think the author is way better than Stephanie Meyer. So not only is it a good read but an intelligent one as well. With that said if your looking for a wonderful fall read go get the first book the Hunger Games and while your at it grab the second and third book as well because they are so good your not going to want to put them down!

Besides being completely consumed by books I have had a really good week. Devin has worked a ton as usual but we got to spend a little more quality time together than normal due to some of his schedules being pushed back later than usual and I must say it was nice to kind of have my husband around more than two hours a day! If only it wasn't just a fluke! Devin has recently applied to be in the Border Patrol and we are crossing our fingers and praying our hearts out that he gets in! It would be such a relief for him to be able to work just one job instead of two! Not to mention the simple idea that Devin could quit working nights and actually sleep like a normal human being! So far he has passed the written exam with great scores, and this week he sent in a package they requested of about 40 pages of information and questions which is the second step of many to the hiring process. Now we wait for him to be contacted for an oral interview and go from there!

On a lighter note, Devin and I are really looking forward to a short but sweet getaway this weekend. Devin's very best friend from high school just returned home from a mission in New Jersey Last week. During the span of Kimball's mission his parents moved to California and since Devin NEVER asks for anything, I figured it wasn't too much to fly out to California for the weekend and catch up with Kimball, and also see his homecoming talk on Sunday. Not to mention the fact that this will probably be one of the last opportunities for Devin and I to get any sort of vacation before I am either too hugely pregnant or two tied down with baby duty!

So that's about it with our lives for now, Devin and I are so grateful for the opportunity we have to be parents and although the road isn't always easy we are doing great and I am so lucky to have a husband who is willing to literally put in 70+ hours every week go to school and provide for our family! I love him so much and could not have asked for a better husband or friend!
